We're compiling our news section, The Talk, for the June, 2012 issue of Word Ho Chi Minh City. So, if you have anything which you believe is newsworthy, please let us know.
Our news is divided into three categories:
- Events: If you have or know of any upcoming events in June and would like us to consider it for publication, please send us all relevant info (who, what, when, where, why & how) with a contact number.
- Openings: This category is for new restaurants, bars, clubs, services, schools, etc., opening in May or June. So, if you have anything that you would like us to cover, please send us all the relevant info with a contact number.
- Word of Mouth: This section focuses on news around town, special discounts, services, deals or promotions. Once again, please send us all the relevant info with a contact number. We are also publishing Food Promotions (in our Out & About section) and Travel Promos (in our Destination section).
Deadline: May 15 is the deadline to have your submissions sent in for consideration. Any submissions sent after this date will risk not being included.
Photos: Where possible, we require a high resolution photo or image to accompany any news submission. You can send it through regular email or if the file is too big, you can also use www.yousendit.com or any alternative server of your choice.
Important Note: The key to getting information and articles into this section is that the content is newsworthy and will be interesting to our readers. Submissions of news are not guaranteed inclusion in the magazine and are subject to the availability of space, discretion of the editorial board and whether all information and photos have been received in full and by deadline. We also try to avoid the inclusion of stories which have an advertorial feel. -
Hi, As someone who is about to leave Australia to come and live in Vietnam I am finding The Word truly invaluable. I am looking forward to trying out all of the restuarants and bars mentioned. Thankyou for offering such a high standard publication for our use.

There are lots useful info of nice places for meeting and see friends on thewordhcm, I would like to post some news of my restaurants on thewordhcm as well. Please help me, I can post some info or I have to register and pay for this?
