Presidential Palace in Hanoi is a three- storey structure located on the north of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The building is enclosed by gardens and orchard and the famous Mango Alley, which being 300 feet long boulevard. There are gates of wrought iron at the entry of the palace. Presidential Palace stands as a memento of French contribution to the architectural splendor in Indochina. From 1901-1906, the palace was built by the French colonialists, as a palace of the General Indochina Governor. It has a special typical French structure and architecture.Since 1954, the Vietnamese Government took over this Palace to house the President . The tradition continues even now as the palace offers site for official receptions to guests and for other administrative meetings. Located on Hung Vuong Street and Hoang Van Thu Street.
