The event is expected to cost between US$2.9million and US$3.5million. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the VVF are seeking sponsors, so call your local government for more details. (Just kidding!)

As part of the celebrations to mark 1,000 years since the founding of Hanoi, in October Vietnam will compete in a four-team friendly football tournament with AC Milan, Japan and South Korea
The tournament, to be called the Thang Long Football Cup, is being organised by the Sports General Department and the Vietnam Football Federation (VVF). Before gaining its present name, Hanoi was known as Thang Long.
