Bombay 59 Dong Du, Q1 Street-side hole in the wall, this cheap and cheerful Malay-Indian eatery has been a popular spot for those in-the-know for years. Does tasty curries, all served up with white rice and Malaysian-style Indian roti.

Has two floors with a bar and live music playing on the second level.
Tandoor 74/6 Hai Ba Trung, Q1 Tel: 3930 4839 A beacon of Indian food since 1995, with a catch-all menu including kebabs, biryani, vindaloo and korma curries and a host of vegetarian options. Recently moved to its venue opposite the Park Hyatt, many rate this restaurant as the best Indian in town.
