Saigon Cricket League

This cricket league includes teams from four nations – Australia, England, India and Sri Lanka – as well as a newly formed mixed-nationality team called United Cricket Club (UCC). New recruits are welcome. The teams play on weekends out at RMIT and have regular practice sessions. The season starts every October.

The Vietnam Swans play regular international footy matches around Asia. Training sessions are held weekly in both Saigon (2.30pm Saturday, RMIT University, D7) and Hanoi (midday, Saturday, UN International School, Ciputra). Social functions aplenty for everyone. Social touch rugby is played every Saturday afternoon for adults at RMIT University from 4pm. The Saigon Geckos welcome both men and women of all nationalities to join and enjoy a few beers afterwards. Do regular tours of the region for tournaments, as well as invite visiting teams for ladies’ touch rugby, contact rugby and men’s over-35 contact rugby. Beginners welcome.

A simple place where good courts can be hired from VND30,000 an hour. Extra services are a little thin on the ground, although ball boys are available, and the price of a court never rises above VND60,000.
