Your Biggest Saigon Turn On

In April we asked you to answer that age-old question: What are your biggest Saigon turn-ons?

We brainstormed until we were blue in the face and came up with seven choices to narrow down the field including “the easy life”, “the bars”, “cheap beer and cigarettes”, “cultural exploits”, “the club scene”, “the street food” and “the spirituality”.

1040 votes later, the answer was clear. Forget shopping malls, fancy bars and western cuisine, wordhcmc.com’s frantic clickers are into their street food. In fact, 94% of the voters claimed street food to be their biggest Saigon turn-on. “The easy life” and “cheap beer and cigarettes”were judged to be mildly titillating, getting a paltry 3.8% and 1.3% of the votes respectively. Surprisingly, the bars of Ho Chi Minh City turned our voters on the least, with a miserable 0.1% of all votes.

In a vote recently likened to the dramatic last days of the French presidential election, wordhcmc.com is now safe in the knowledge that a heavy night on the town is no match for Saigon’s delicious tradition of easily accessible street food delights.
